Veneers
Veneers are an ultra thin layer, bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Veneers can be used to correct broken, twisted or crowded teeth by changing their shape and position. They can be made as thin as a contact lens, so minimal preparation of the teeth is needed. Veneers can either be made from porcelain, or composite.
Porcelain Veneers are made over two visits. At the first appointment, the teeth are prepared and an impression is then taken. Temporary Veneers can be fitted if needed at this stage. A Dental Technician then constructs the Veneers and at the second appointment, the Veneers are fitted.
Composite Free Hand Veneers are completed in one visit. The teeth are prepared and the Veneers are then sculpted directly onto the teeth free hand. This is a highly skilled and artistic process requiring considerable experience.
